SAFEGUARDING

The safety of the children in the care of Moonstone Day Care is paramount. Practitioners working in the nursery have a duty of care towards the children attending and this duty brings with it the responsibility to ensure that all efforts are made to safeguard children from suspected and actual harm.
Children learn best when they are healthy, safe and secure, when their individual needs are met and when they have positive relationships with the adults caring for them. The Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements are designed to support providers in creating settings which are welcoming, safe and stimulating, and where children can enjoy learning through play, to grow in confidence and to fulfil their full potential.
