Finally, your period of study in our college has come to an end. You have already passed your final exams and received your higher education diplomas. This concludes your long road to gaining knowledge, mastering a degree that will help you in the future. Now you are going into a new life period, where you will be able to use the gained knowledge and skills.
Disability Living Allowance (DLA) is money for children with care and/or mobile needs. It is not means tested nor is it taxable. Care needs implies that your child needs support with bodily functions such as eating, washing, toileting and getting dressed. Care needs could also suggest that your child needing support socially too. Your child’s needs should be more than expected for a child of their age.
Mobility needs suggests that your child needs
support getting around. For example, they could be a wheelchair user or have difficulty walking. Mobility needs could also be claimed for children who experience severe learning disabilities and severe behavioural problems. The higher rate of DLA can only be claimed once your child has reached age three. Whereas
the lower rate can be claimed for once your child is aged five.
